Owen Lasch

Owen Lasch has his base in London as a sound designer and musician. He has exhibited sound works at Trumans Brewery, London and Cafe 5pm, Guadalajara, Mexico. As a sound engineer he toured with Shared Experience – Mine and The Glass Menagerie by Polly Teale. Land without Words was his first theatre work as a sound designer. For the festival Divided Skies Season he created a sound installation based on Heiner Müller texts and did the sound design for Anne Rabe’s Sunflowerhouse with suite42. With the same company he created Freisein in the Labyrinth in 2016, War Zone in 2016/17, La peur doit changer de camp und Fieberfluten in 2017, Das nackte gute Leben in 2020 and the Music for the Audio-Project Flucht nach Thüringen – gestern und heute for Kunstfest Weimar 2020. In addition he has created the sound for the Kurdish theatre group Shano for City Of Peace. He has released an album with his band TOWNSFOLK – FÊTE, and is now touring regularly in London clubs with Tom Giddins in the duo NUDES.

Over the years his designs have become more detailed and sophisticated, incorporating more musical elements and ideas.

The last few years have seen a new musical project, Quarter Mirrors, release an E.P in Australia, with new works in the pipeline. As well as this Owen makes digital paintings under the name ekta_hou.
